Skill level recommendation: Intermediate/Expert

The markets that are used for the Bet365 Bore Draw offer usually have higher odds so require large liabilities. For this reason we recommend that you are familiar with matched betting before attempting these. Large liabilities mean a decent sized bankroll is required. Although to test the waters you could use lower stakes.

Basics of the Bore Draw offer

The basics of this offer is very simple. Find a close match for a valid market, back and lay the bet and hope the game ends in a Bore Draw. The term “Bore Draw” means that the match ends 0-0. Any other draw is known as a “Score Draw” this is because a goal has been scored.

If the game ends in a draw you get your stake refunded as cash. For this reason this offer is a win for matched betting.

Previous winners include:

  • 21/04/2021 - Real Betis vs Athletic Bilbao

  • 21/04/2021 - Luton vs Reading

  • 20/04/2021 - Chelsea vs Brighton

  • 18/04/2021 - Reims vs Metz

  • 17/04/2021 - Brentford vs Millwall

As you can see this offer doesn’t hit very often but It is possible to lock in profit using the advanced calculator. Although to get the biggest return you would just leave the bet running and hope it ends 0-0.

How to lock in profit

To lock in profit for this offer you will need to use the “Refund IF” calculator. You can find this under the advanced calculators section on Profit Accumulator.

Firstly just put in the odds that you backed and laid at as well as your stake. So in this example we have bet £100 at odds of 6.5 for Chelsea to win 1-0 vs Liverpool. We have then laid this at 6.6, for a small 76p qualifying loss.

The free bet award is the same as your stake, and the retention is at 100% (as the refund is in cash - not as a free bet).

Now to lock in profit:

  • look at the current LAY odds of 0-0.

  • The lay odds are 13 for 0-0. So that means we could potentially lock in £3.11 profit before the game has even started!

  • To do this we would lay the amount it is telling us (£3.85) on 0-0. That would then lock the profit in.

  • If a goal was scored and the game did not end 0-0 then we would make the profit from the £3.85 we laid, minus our 76p qualifying loss.

  • If the game did end 0-0 then we would lose our liability from that lay (£46.20), but we would then get our £50 stake refunded as cash.

As we are doing this before the match has started the lay odds are quite high but as the game continues the odds will drop lower and lower.

As an example, if this match got to half time and was still 0-0, the lay odds may have dropped to around 4.0, then we could lock in £11.76 profit in exactly the same way as above.

You can, also just leave the bet and not lock in anything. This means if the game ends 0-0 then we would receive our whole stake back as cash so we would have made £50 profit minus the qualifying loss. But if a goal is scored then we would not make any profit at all and just take the small qualifying loss.

Locking in a % of your stake

There are a few advanced strategies you can use for the Bet365 Bore Draw offer. One of them is to lock in a percentage of your stake.

By locking in a percentage of your stake it will guarantee you a smaller profit but still give you the chance to receive the refund on the other part of your stake.

If you wanted to lock in 50% of your stake all you would do is to change the calculator to 50% of what it was originally. E.g. if you bet £50 you would change this to £25. Also make sure that the max refund is changed to £25 too!

If the odds are 4.0 you can lock in a profit of £5.88 (£11.76 divided by 2 = £5.88). If the game goes on to end 0-0 then you would win £25 cash refund + £5.88 = £30.88 - QL = Profit

Avoid a gubbing

Stick to high profile matches (All England Leagues and any top tier European League) and keep stakes sensible. What we mean by keeping stakes sensible is if you are betting £10 each time don’t suddenly bet £100 or more just because there is no limit to the refund. This will show up as a big red flag to the bookmakers. Instead raise your stakes slowly.
